|
Taken from a range of sources A.&.S Consultants Int. Ltd have defined the company Ethics, Standards and Values incorporating structures from associated authorities, stakeholders and additional theoretical and academic resources.
“A postmodern sensibility implies that we are hesitant to accept any one ethical system as being applicable to everyone and for all time that there’s a healthy scepticism towards overarching views.” (Sligo, Bathurst, 2005, p33)
Ethical Framework
• Deontological ethics – duty ethics these are our fundamental principals • Consequentialist – the practical ethics for the greatest overall good • Virtue – the humanist approach invoking the dignity of the individual and an obligation to care for one another
“Organizations have to possess ethical values and communicate these values to their members in order to behave ethically. They must develop an ethical climate and have formal systems that are congruent with the informal elements of the organization”. (Perryer, & Tsahuridu).
